Carrying the legacy of the 10th Light Horse — through service today
The Kelmscott Pinjarra 10th Light Horse Memorial Troop Inc. was established on 31 March 2002 in Western Australia. We are a small, dedicated community of volunteers, horse handlers, veterans and supporters who believe the proud heritage of the 10th Light Horse Regiment is best honoured through service.
Originally raised in Western Australia, the 10th Light Horse Regiment fought with distinction at Gallipoli and across the Middle East in the First World War. Their courage, mateship and quiet endurance shaped the Anzac legend — and continue to inspire our work today.
From our base in Haynes, just outside Perth, our memorial troop carries that legacy into the present by providing equine therapy and education for veterans, families and community members who would otherwise miss out.
We honour the men, women and horses of the 10th Light Horse Regiment, ensuring their stories are not forgotten.
We carry the spirit of service into our community — through quiet, practical care for those who need it.
We believe in the gentle, grounding power of horses to support veterans and others living with trauma or hardship.
Our gates are open to people of every age, background and ability — including First Nations community members and people with disability.
Our horses are partners, not tools. Their care, calm and dignity is central to everything we do.
We are a small, volunteer-driven group rooted in our local Western Australian community.
Our work reaches a broad cross-section of the Western Australian community — anyone who can benefit from time with our horses and our team.
